Problem Note 56244: Logging on to a SAS® Enterprise Miner™ server results in the error "java.util.ServiceConfigurationError"
When you log on to a SAS Enterprise Miner server, the following exception is displayed in the Java console log:
Caused by: java.util.ServiceConfigurationError: javax.xml.validation.SchemaFactory:jar:http:///SASEnterpriseMinerJWS/jwsdp_xercesImpl.jar!/META-INF/services/javax.xml.validation.SchemaFactory:1: Illegalprovider-class name: http\://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema=com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.jaxp.validation.xs.SchemaFactoryImpl
The problem occurs because a Java 8 Java Runtime Environment (JRE) is used.

A Java exception is displayed when you use a Java 8 Java Runtime Environment (JRE). The error occurs whether you use Java web start to connect to a SAS Enterprise Miner server, or you use an installed SAS Enterprise Miner client to connect.
